HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN EDITING?
I have been editing professionally since 2018. I originally started editing after taking Katie Rivera's course, The Photo Editor's Guide.
WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
I offer photo editing services for wedding and portrait photographers, matching their unedited images to edited anchor images in their personal photography style. This includes preset application, basic panel adjustments, cropping & straightening, and minimal tone curve adjustments. Culling, spot correction, and other services are available for an additional fee.
DO YOU OFFER PHOTOSHOP SERVICES?
I do not currently offer Photoshop services for my photography clients. This often requires us to have possession of your RAW files, and we use Smart Previews.
DO YOU NEED MY RAW FILES?
No. We will have you go through the simple process of building Smart Previews in Lightroom Classic. These are edited, sent back to you, and the changes applied to your RAW images on your computer. This process makes transferring files much more efficient.
WHAT ARE SMART PREVIEWS?
Smart Previews are scaled-down images that allow us to edit the files that aren't physically attached to our own computer/hard drive. They are copy, or "preview" of the RAW image file.
WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME?
My current turnaround time is 5-7 business days for wedding catalogs, and 1-2 business days for smaller portrait sessions. I use appointment-based scheduling for photographers to reserve their edit date, and that is the start date of your turnaround time for that catalog.
DO YOU OFFER A TRIAL EDIT?
I do offer trial edits, of up to 100 complimentary images. This is usually on a seasonal basis, so I would encourage everyone to take advantage of it when available. It allows you as a photographer to get to know the entire process, and see if it works for you and your business. If you like the results, you can always onboard as a client after!
WHAT IS THE EDITING PROCESS LIKE?
I will send you my visual guide that walks you through the entire outsourcing process of editing your anchor images (which will be used to help me match your personal editing style), exporting, and uploading your catalog. Once I receive your images, I'll get to work editing them to your specifications, and send them back to you within the turnaround time mentioned. You can prepare and send images on your booked appointment date, or up to a week before.
IS IT OKAY TO SEND YOU MY PURCHASED PRESET?
Yes! Since you have purchased the preset, and it will only be designated for your photography work, there is no issue with you sending it to me. To be sure, you can always contact the preset creator directly, but most brands and creators are fine with this arrangement. They understand that editors use client presets and profiles.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK AN EDIT?
My calendars are open on a rolling 90-day window, so any time within that timeframe would be fine. During peak months, it's best to schedule as far in advance as possible. This is usually around June-August, and October-November. If you want to schedule beyond the 90-day window, just send me an email and I will get you scheduled.
